The year was 2015 when the project commenced, with one goal in mind: to craft a vessel that would redefine the standards of naval excellence. Guided by a team of seasoned engineers and designers, the blueprint for the Strategic Sealift Vessel (SSV) began to take shape. With meticulous attention to detail, every line, curve, and dimension was carefully crafted, laying the foundation for what would soon become a maritime marvel.

Finishing

Finally, in May 2017, the moment of triumph arrived as the vessel was christened BRP Davao Del Sur-601. In a grand ceremony at Manila Harbor, Philippines, the Department of National Defense (DND) of the Philippines welcomed their newest addition to the naval fleet with open arms. It was a moment of pride for all involved, a testament to the unwavering dedication and expertise that went into its creation.
